Mojo Magazine, October 2015The new issue of the UK's Mojo Magazine, cover date October 2015/issue 263, is published this coming Tuesday, August 25th, and should prove irresistible to David Gilmour fans.

Not content with what the magazine are referring to as "a major new interview with Gilmour", and based on past articles in Mojo it should be an in-depth discussion covering much ground, the cover-mounted CD should make for very interesting listening. The magazine explained that around two year's ago, "Gilmour very kindly sent Mojo a cover version of The Beatles' Here, There And Everywhere. We enjoyed his reworking of the Fab Four so much that we wanted to share it and after a spot of cajoling he's finally agreed to let us include it on free CD that comes with the new edition of Mojo".

"I really wish I had been in The Beatles," Gilmour told the magazine. "[They] taught me how to play guitar, I learnt everything. The bass parts, the lead, the rhythm, everything. They were fantastic."

The cover of Here, There And Everywhere was recorded with his son Joe, and is previously unreleased anywhere. It's a key track on David Gilmour & Friends, sitting alongside their collection of music designed to celebrate Gilmour's life, work and influence. They note that "a number of Gilmour's closest collaborators appear on our bespoke compilation while the guitarist is featured on six of the tracks himself, including songs from Phil Manzanera, Robert Wyatt and The Pretty Things."

The magazine will be available from Tuesday next week in all good UK stores, and subsequently elsewhere in the world in a number of outlets as an import. Alternatively, single issues can be ordered direct through GreatMagazines.co.uk.
