Back in September, we told you that Roger Waters would be participating in the US premiere of his opera Ca Ira, at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center. There were going to be two performances, with Roger narrating both, on January 29th and 30th, 2015, however, the performance on the 29th has now been cancelled.

The piece is scored for full orchestra, four solo voices, chorus and a children's chorus. The Tennessean newspaper state that the Nashville Symphony, Nashville Symphony Chorus and Blair Children’s Chorus will perform onstage with Waters. We understand that this will be a resumption of his narration role he performed on its last performance, in Gothenburg, Sweden, last year.

"We are thrilled and honored to have a legendary talent like Roger Waters at the Schermerhorn to debut this phenomenal production for an American audience," Alan Valentine, Nashville Symphony president and CEO, said in a news release. "We embrace any opportunity to expand our artistic mission with adventurous, ground-breaking projects, and 'Ca Ira' promises to be two nights of entertainment that Middle Tennesseans will never forget."

Tickets are now on sale at NashvilleSymphony.org, via phone at 615-687-6400 or at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center box office in Nashville, Tennessee, and here's a new video, just posted by Roger onto his official Facebook page, with him talking about the show...
