Australian Pink Floyd Show 2011A band with a very long history with Brain Damage, having travelled to the UK especially for our first International Fan Convention held at Wembley in 1993, the Australian Pink Floyd Show are old friends. The band's major 2011 European tour starts later this month, and thanks to the band and their management we have a very special opportunity for some lucky Brain Damage visitors and their guests.

We have five pairs of tickets to attend the Aussie Floyd's final pre-tour rehearsal on Monday, January 17th 2011, at a special venue in London. The evening will start at 6pm with a glass of champagne on arrival, some pre show food, the full show rehearsal (including the brand new 3D graphics) and then a chance to meet the band afterwards.

Following the rehearsal, the tour heads off to Poland for a string of dates there, before hitting the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Norway, before arriving in the UK for the dates listed below. Following the UK dates, the band move on to France, Switzerland (again!) and Italy. Full details of the dates and venues can be found at www.AussieFloyd.com.

The Australian Pink Floyd Show is a live touring sensation which has sold over three million tickets worldwide, and they have created their most ambitious and spectacular show ever for the 2011 European Tour. This theatre tour will see the debut of the new quadraphonic sound system and represents the first time ever that a live music production has used 3D stereographic technology. The cinema quality 3D visuals have been created by visual effects maestro John Attard, best known for his work on Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. We're intrigued to see how this will work - if it works effectively alongside the music, we can see others exploring this route!

The 2011 dates see a trio of experts with Floyd credentials onboard. Colin Norfield has worked with TAPFS before and takes over as sound engineer once again. Colin was FOH engineer on Pink Floyd's Division Bell world tour. Since then he has handled live sound for David Gilmour, including working on his 'On An Island' tour. Renowned Production Manager Roger Searle, who also worked on the 'On An Island' tour also joins the 2011 show. Roger will be using the latest cutting edge, state of the art technology to enhance the essential elements of the existing TAPFS to take this tour to another level. Also joining the team for the 2011 tour is Floyd drummer Nick Mason's drum technician Clive Brooks.
