Roger's tour of The Wall now turns to Boston, rounding out the September leg of the 2010 tour.
The RogerWaters.com presales began starting Wednesday, May 5th. Starting May 3rd, American Express Cardmembers could get advance tickets, with seating available to Gold Card, Platinum Card and Centurion members. US fans could also get early access to tickets via iTunes beginning Thursday, May 6th, by purchasing the 1982 film The Wall from iTunes by April 26th. For both the American Express and iTunes presales, please note that the presale offers were available in select markets and ticket quantities were limited.
General sale tickets went on sale on Monday, May 10, via Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com. The public sale also saw a limited number of VIP packages made available for each show on the tour.

Do not read on if you don't want surprises to be spoilt, regarding what the band played, and what happened as the night unfolded!
Night ten of the tour, and the production arrives in Boston for the first of three shows at the TD Garden. The production will then roll into New York state for a number of shows (interrupted by a one-night jaunt in Washington).
The Boston Herald reviewed the concert - calling it "a hell of a show", noting that Roger "masterfully rebuilds 'The Wall'". You can read their review here. There's also a photo gallery at their site for the show, which you can see here.

Very impressive, both musically and visually. There were some rumors floating around from some questionable sources about a special guest appearing Sunday. I'll believe it only after it happens. Gilmour in Boston? It seems extremely unlikely.

Well let's see where do I start? First, this show is everything that everybody is saying it is and out of the hundreds of rock shows I've seen over the past 30+ years I'd have to rank this in the top 2, with this show going up against Sir Paul McCartney. I've seen Pink Floyd and Roger Waters before and Roger has outdone himself this time for sure. That said my review will focus on the kinds of things that interest me most. I am a Producer, Engineer, and Musician myself so I might offer a slightly different or more critical perspective. So here goes. The sound at this show was nothing short of amazing, just as it was for the DSOTM tour. This consistency can only be attributed to Roger Water's Front of House Mix Engineer Trip Khalaf. He is simply the best in the business and if I were a touring band he would be my first selection to mix my show. I am extremely critical of live audio mixes and this was simply fantastic, and I really don't have anything negative to say about the tonal characteristics of the mix, or the levels of the instruments within the mix.
Next, the musicianship and the sounds of the band in general. First, the sounds were very true to the original sounds on the album, whether it was guitars, keys, synths, or vocal harmonies. AWESOME. As for the the musicianship, it was nothing short of phenomenal and Dave Kilminster does a great job playing Gilmour's guitar parts. As a slight negative, I have to say that while Robbie Wyckoff's vocals on some songs were really great, on others not-so-great. He doesn't have the softness in his voice that Gilmour has, and this was noticeable on "Mother" amongst a couple of other songs. Nevertheless this is a minor critique really. I was really impressed with Graham Broad's drumming on this tour. It seems that he gets the opportunity to show off a little more on this tour than he did on DSOTM.
That's it in a nutshell. No sense in going into the particulars of the visuals as they have been covered by other reviewers. All I will say is that the visuals are thought provoking, and in some cases touching as well.
One last thing. At the Merch booth some of the T-shirts are $45, and others are $55. My friend bought a $45 one and I bought a $55 one. The difference between the shirts other than the look is that the more expensive T shirt is 100% pre-shrunk cotton while the cheaper shirt was a cotton mix. Something to keep in mind for people looking for quality in their shirts.

I remember the last time I was here, the shows were something special and the audience were fantastic, it was the same if not better tonight. I was 11th row dead centre an area which I'm really beginning to like the show from.
It was obvious from the off that Roger and the band were on form and one thing that was immediately noticeable was the sound, not just the quality but the loudness of it. It was clear they had turned the sound up a bit tonight from the previous shows. I've found this is something they tend to do in the second half of the show as well, its always seems louder than the first half.
A few of the visuals had changed, Roger had added some new projections during the beginning of Young Lust and the the tube train visuals had changed a lot at the end of Another Brick part 2. At the end of the track at previous shows the tube train stops on the wall, someone (a shadow) gets on the tube and you then heard a couple of gun shots and that was it. We were all a bit confused at the previous shows as to what it was all about but tonight it all made sense and clicked into place!
What happened tonight was the same as far as the tube train stopping on the screen however there were several loud gunfire shots a few white flashes and then on the screen was text about the shooting of John Charles De Menezes. It now all made sense!!
The band were ever so tight tonight, it wasn't without a few technical glitches though (Roger messing a few chords up on Mother and the bass not coming in at the beginning of Nobody Home) but these were definitely overshadowed by the bands performance and the sound. At the beginning of Run like Hell Roger made his way over to stage left and encouraged the crowd at the side to have fun, as I looked up into the audience there were a couple of people just sat there with their arms crossed. Roger obviously noticed this and crossed his arms and slouched down and pointed at the people laughing!
Roger's really getting all his nuances down now, pretending to use a machine gun on the audience in the middle of Run Like Hell, and using a lot of the same hand gestures in Nobody Home.
It was the best show of the tour so far and this was evident by the amount of thanks Roger gave to the crowd after the show, he was very talkative and said was lost for words at one point when the crowd were cheering. Hoping for another great show tonight and also hoping I can remember a lot more things that I see each night and think I must put in my reviews but then there's so much going on that I forget them all!
