Roger's tour of The Wall arrives in Omaha, and a venue that Roger last performed in back in June 2007. The concert advert to the right (click thumbnail) comes courtesy of BD's own Elliot Tayman.
The RogerWaters.com presales began starting Wednesday, May 5th. Starting May 3rd, American Express Cardmembers could get advance tickets, with seating available to Gold Card, Platinum Card and Centurion members. US fans could also get early access to tickets via iTunes beginning Thursday, May 6th, by purchasing the 1982 film The Wall from iTunes by April 26th. For both the American Express and iTunes presales, please note that the presale offers were available in select markets and ticket quantities were limited.
General sale tickets went on sale on Monday, May 10, via Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com. The public sale also saw a limited number of VIP packages made available for each show on the tour. Use of our links to Ticketmaster gives much needed assistance with site hosting costs without any additional cost to yourself - and we appreciate it!

WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD!
Do not read on if you don't want surprises to be spoilt, regarding what the band played, and what happened as the night unfolded!
Night twenty-five of the tour, with a performance in front of a sell-out crowd at the Qwest Center Arena. No sign of David Gilmour here, despite the rumours in the local press that he was spotted dining in the same restaurant as Roger (who was said to be wearing a black hoodie in the restaurant...seems rather unlikely to us!).
The Omaha World-Herald gave the concert a glowing review. "It's like the king of concert tours. Since it was performed by Pink Floyd only a handful of times in its original form (and because it was so over-the-top even then), it has attained legendary status. But instead of rehashing the same old thing, Roger Waters took it to the next level on Tuesday at Qwest Center Omaha.
"Waters' version of 'The Wall' was everything I hoped it would be, but bigger and better. When the wall came crashing down, and Waters sang in the rubble, I got chills again. 'Thank you, Omaha!' Waters said. 'You were a great audience.'

I was floor 13th row dead centre on the aisle, my favourite place. Before the show when we had dinner with Sue and Mike I gave them a rough outline of the wall, told them about Roger's angst, how he had built a wall around himself since the Montreal spitting incident and just a few pointers to watch out for and what the whole concept was about. I think this helped a lot when they came to watch the show!
The first thing that was evident tonight was that the sound was going to be amazing! This was before a single note had been played! Usually when the pre show warm up music and talking comes through the speakers about 15 minutes before the start of the shows it's actually quite hard to hear it over the noise of the crowd. Tonight was different though, you could hear every single word!! The clarity was crystal clear, I think this was due to a few things, mainly the venue but also the quietness of the crowd when they started to hear the speaking, they were very respectful and actually listened to what was being said!
Sure enough when the band started the sound quality was amazing, definitely one of the best sounding venues I'd been to! The crowd were a bit hit and miss with standing and then seated and then standing again they couldn't make their mind up what they wanted to do! All the nuances were present tonight, the machine gun, Roger holding the mic out for the crowd to sing “thirteen channels of shit” etc etc

I was also able to watch out for the shadow figure coming out and spray painting “we don't need no education” on the wall as I knew this was coming now after seeing it for the first night at the Detroit show a couple of nights previous.
I also took a few random pictures during the part where all different images flash on the screen for a split second and here's what i came out with! not too bad tonight:

There were several seats spare on the floor tonight and specifically three or four next to me. At intermission I went up and brought Beth and Kami down to the floor and we all sat together for the second half. I really enjoy seeing the show with friends, especially ones who are as passionate about the music as myself and both Beth and Kami are exactly that!
