As many of you are aware, there are Pink Floyd tribute bands and shows across the world, bringing good music (played with varying degrees of success!) to local pubs, clubs, halls and even major arenas. With the sheer number of them, it is impossible to provide coverage of these bands, but occasionally there are rare exceptions. We know that many of you hugely enjoy the Australian Pink Floyd show, and they have today announced a major tour of the UK for 2008. This features their new show, promising to be bigger and more ambitious than ever before, offering "The Best of The Wall". Over the last fifteen years, the band's following has grown at an incredible rate, resulting in sell-out shows all over. The 2008 show will receive an even more lavish production, with more lasers, more lights, more complex projections and even better inflatables! The band's headquarters in Melbourne is promising to deliver "the biggest, most spectacular show ever." They'll be playing in fourteen countries across the entire European continent next year, and whilst in the UK, they'll be taking in a pair of nights at the world-famous Royal Albert Hall in London, the venue where David Gilmour himself marvelled at the accuracy of their show: "It's so strange to watch such an eerily accurate version of yourself perform live on a stage! They do the Floyd thing so well, but still manage to put their own stamp of humour in there. Very funny!" Tickets for the concerts go on sale today (November 5th), and this is where they will be playing:
