Vote for DSOTM in forthcoming awards Print E-mail
Written by Matt

High Fidelity Review are including a "reader's vote" award, Best High Resolution Title of 2003, in the forthcoming Surround Music Awards 2003. Twelve of their writers independently selected their top six discs (released after December 14th 2002), and their votes were collated to produce the final six contenders, believed to be the year’s finest releases on both DVD-Audio and SACD formats.

Selections were made based on the fidelity and surround mix afforded by a given title. The winner will be the title to receive the most votes from their readers, and will be presented with the award at the Surround Music Awards gala dinner, part of the fifth annual Surround Professional surround conference and technology showcase, December 11-12th 2003 at the Beverly Hilton hotel, Beverly Hills, USA.

The voting is done online - a simple voting form is used to make your selection from: 'Avalon' - Roxy Music, 'Document No.5' - R.E.M., 'Everything Must Go' - Steely Dan, 'Sea Change' - Beck, 'Up' - Peter Gabriel, and most importantly, 'Dark Side Of The Moon' by you-know-who!

So make sure you get your vote in (multiple votes will be disqualified so don't even think about it!) before the closing date.
