Steve O'Rourke 1940 - 2003 Print E-mail
Written by Matt
Wednesday, 29 October 2003

It is with huge sadness that we bring you the news that Steve O'Rourke, the Pink Floyd's manager, has tragically suffered a fatal stroke. News of this came through to us mid-afternoon today, and came as a complete shock to all.

Steve O'Rourke became manager of Pink Floyd in 1968 when he was working for the Bryan Morrison Agency, after the band ceased to use the services of Peter Jenner and Andrew King. Steve was the manager of the band from then on, and also individually managed David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Rick Wright.

One of Steve's passions in life was motor racing, which he was a keen and successful participant in, competing in various disciplines of the sport, including such circuits as Le Mans.

A tragically early passing, our thoughts and prayers are with his family, his friends, and all at EMKA, his management company.
