There's been a mass of rumours in various parts of the South American media about Roger Waters taking part in what was quickly dubbed "Latin Live 8". The rumours had the concert taking place at the end of March in Buenos Aires, with local artists such as Shakira and Soda Stereo (a big Argentinian band) also taking part. Other "Latin Live 8" concerts would also be held in Mexico, New York, and Madrid, according to press reports.

However, the organisers said today that whilst they are thinking of holding such an event, they've not been in contact with ANY artists, since there's no confirmed dates or venues.
