Canadian Pink Floyd tribute band, Comfortably Numb, have announced a new tour of Canada, that going by our bulging inbox will be a popular attraction for the country's Floyd fans.

The band's shows tend to be consistently sold out - a good endorsement of the band's musicianship. The upcomingtour marks a new chapter in the bands history as they once again will be presenting an all-new show, "Echoes: The Journey Into the Mind of Pink Floyd." Previous tours have seen the band painstakingly recreate classic concerts of the Seventies - such as the "Pigs, Wishes and Moons" show from 1975, and the Oakland Coliseum 1977 show.

Here's where our Canadian friends can catch the band:

  • Oct 20 - Toronto - The Opera House
  • Oct 21 - Toronto - The Opera House (All Ages)
  • Oct 21 - Toronto - The Opera House
  • Oct 22 - Toronto - The Opera House (All Ages)
  • Oct 27 - Montreal - Spectrum De Montreal
  • Oct 28 - Ottawa - Capital Music Hall (All Ages)
  • Oct 28 - Ottawa - Capital Music Hall
  • Oct 29 - Ottawa - Capital Music Hall (All Ages)
  • Nov 9 - Vancouver - TBA
  • Nov 10 - Edmonton - Myer Horowitz Theatre
  • Nov 11 - Calgary - TBA
  • Nov 23 - Hamilton - Hamilton Convention Centre
  • Nov 24 - Mount Forest - The Old Roxy Theatre
  • Nov 25 - London - TBA
The "All Ages" shows will tend to be in the afternoons, with the other shows in the same venues starting around 9pm due to licencing restrictions. These shows will be for those aged 19 and over. Tickets will be available from normal outlets.

We recently posted a review of the band's sold out show in Ottawa, back on 23rd July 2005. From feedback we've received, the band have a strong following in Canada, so these shows should be very welcome. More information on the band can be found at Comfortably-Numb.ca.
