Pink Floyd's stage designer on new DVD Print E-mail

Brain Damage was recently invited to the press launch of the new, four-disc Rolling Stones live DVD, entitled "Four Flicks". The first three discs cover the three difference types of show they performed on their last tour - from tiny club to stadium show (perhaps the Floyd should consider this tactic on their next tour?!) in full surround sound. The fourth disc has a couple of fascinating looking documentaries on the tour, including one where Mark Fisher, who has long designed Pink Floyd's stages, does his best to "sell" his concepts to the Stones.

Interestingly enough, some of the stage furniture from the 1994 Floyd tour can be seen on the Stones stadium stage, showing that the spirit of recycling is not dead!

This would not be the first time that Fisher Park (his design company) have reused items - for example, the lifts/elevators used for the bricklayers in the Wall concerts, were used in 1982 for Whitney Houston's concerts.

From the excerpts that we saw from the set, this title, which has just been released (and can be ordered through the Amazon links on our home page), looks an absolute must, even if you are just a casual Stones fan. They know how to put on a spectacular show, and the recording looks and sounds stunning as well... we're hoping that Santa Claus pops a copy of this in the Brain Damage Christmas stocking!
