The December issue of Record Collector magazine reports that "EMI is staging exhibitions of Floyd artwork, including pieces by Roger Dean and Storm Thorgerson, in Birmingham, Manchester and London [UK]".

We've been in contact with EMI about this - in their words: "...it was an exhibition that was held in Fulham (and is now over and done!) in conjunction with the original sleeve artwork artist..." I've now found out further details - it was at a gallery called "number nine" at Brindleyplace, Birmingham. They held: "Pink Floyd, The Beatles & Psychedelia 2001 - The Art of Rock'n'Roll" - on October 8th - 29th 2001. This was...

"...a unique art & music exhibition presenting the art for music works of the leading college of artists in the music art field: Alan Aldridge, Peter Blake, Roger Dean and Storm Thorgerson Featuring an exclusive presentation of Pink Floyd artwork by Storm Thorgerson, and the exclusive launch of the best of Pink Floyd "echoes" by Storm Thorgesen. The preview at numbernine will be attended by both Storm Thorgerson and Alan Aldridge - Peter Blake will be visiting the gallery the following week. The opening will be broadcast LIVE on Carlton TV at 6.00pm, Monday 8th October 2001. Live relay of art projected on to Battersea Power Station, the 18ft inflatable pig from The Wall in Berlin concert will be flying outside the gallery, the Division Bell sculptures and Alan Aldridge's pinball machine will also be on show. Storm Thorgerson has also released the original Dark Side of the Moon artwork for sale at the gallery, never seen since 1973. Additional artworks by Alan Aldridge, Peter Blake and Roger Dean together with limited edition signed fine art prints and artefacts. Simultaneously showing in Los Angeles, Seattle, Cleveland, Glasgow and London."
