A new Italian film, which looks at the 1978 kidnapping and murder of Prime Minister Aldo Moro by Marxist extremists, has been released this month to great critical praise at the Venice Film Festival.

The film, "Buongiorno, Notte" ("Good Morning, Night"), directed by Marco Bellocchio, has a soundtrack which almost exclusively consists of the Pink Floyd album "Wish You Were Here". The director said that he used their music "to symbolise the desperation and rebellion of those years".

The film started screening in Italian cinemas on September 5th, and has already done good business at the box office. It has also been shown at a film festival in Canada, to acclaim. Our thanks to Massimiliano for letting us know about this film.
