Back on March 9th, we reported on the new issue of the US's Guitar World magazine, which has a feast of Pink Floyd in it, including indepth interviews with Roger Waters AND David Gilmour.

The new issue of the UK's Guitarist magazine, which hit the shops today, includes a different version of the interview with David, and has some lovely pictures to accompany the article - most of which were taken by top photographer Ross Halfin.

The interview, conducted back in February on board Astoria, his houseboat studio, is an absorbing look at the recording process. It covers the development and creation of his new album, On An Island, and also looks at other recent events - the Live 8 reunion, and how the chances look for a repeat of this historic get-together in the future. (A clue: it doesn't look good!)

He even touches on the numerous delays to the Pulse DVD, and from his comments, makes it clear that there should be no good reason for any delays beyond the confirmed release date of September 18th this year.

The interview covers some nine pages, with a further two pages of guitar tabs for the budding Gilmours amongst you. The magazine, which is out now, should be available from all good stockists in the UK, and is available in a number of countries worldwide as an import.
