David Gilmour gives his fans a "Smile"! Print E-mail
Written by Matt

The rather excellent DavidGilmour.com has just revealed the latest on David's next single for the UK and Europe, taken from his new On An Island album.

"Smile" is the track that has been selected, and will be released in May to coincide with the UK leg of David's current tour.

The tour starts up again in a couple of days in New York City, and features a selection of songs from the Pink Floyd back catalogue, alongside tracks from his new album.

The release of "Smile" will be on a three track CD, and will also be available as a download from all normal legal download sites.

The lead track will be an edit of the album version, and one of the bonus tracks will be "Island Jam" - as recently released as a bundled extra with the album from the US chain store, Best Buy.

DavidGilmour.com has not yet revealed what the other track will be, yet.

They also note that there will be a new promo video for the single, a revised version of that seen around Christmas-time when the song could be seen and heard over at their website.

Once we have ordering details for this, along with the exact release date in May, we will let you have them.
