Big rare Pink Floyd singles feature Print E-mail
Written by Matt
Saturday, 29 November 2003

The new issue of UK specialist magazine, "Record Collector", cover date December 2003, is now on sale, and features a large article of huge interest to Floyd fans.

As reported previously on these pages, our friend Hervé Denoyelle let us know that Joe Geesin, son of Ron Geesin (Atom Heart Mother, etc), had prepared a large article on Hervé's collection of rare singles. The resulting feature, spread over ten fully illustrated pages, is a wonderful tour through the years, covering some very scarce pressings from some very unexpected locations.

Hervé has travelled the globe for over twenty five years building his collection of singles, which now exceeds 500 different editions. Despite this, he believes that the collection will never be complete! Some of the singles and sleeves on display in the feature are big surprises - a Brazilian promo single of Pigs, for example! In total, fifty-nine rare sleeves and labels are reproduced, and reproduced extremely well. No blurry photocopies here! Definitely a magazine any Floyd fan and collector will enjoy.

Also in the issue is a small obituary for Steve O'Rourke.
