Roger Waters in new Danish film Print E-mail

Tuesday, 27 January 2004

One of Denmark's hottest rock groups, Kashmir, have just released a documentary about their career. In this, called Rocket Brothers, the lead singer and guitarist (Kasper Eistrup) gets an offer to play with Roger Waters in his "In The Flesh" tour 2002.

You see Eistrup auditioning with Roger where he sings and plays "Comfortably Numb". Eistrup is a huge Floyd fan and talks about how he saw this as a meeting with his mentor. This meeting is a central part of the movie.

The trailer has a small segment from the audition in it - and can be viewed using this link. For the record, and as most of you will know, Kasper Eistrup doesn't get the part! We are awaiting more info from the film producers as to if/when this film will be available outside Denmark... Our thanks to Mark Skiffard and Anders Schunk from UsAndThem.dk for this interesting news!
