Clare Torry to sue Pink Floyd? Print E-mail

A rather strange report has appeared in today's UK Daily Express newspaper. They report that vocalist Clare Torry is taking Pink Floyd and its record company EMI, to court, suing them for damages and lost earnings.

Former Red Hot Chili Pepper drummer Jack Irons will include his version of Pink Floyd's classic "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" on his next album. The 11-song album, "Attention Dimension," will be released in August. "Shine On" features vocals by Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), and bass by Les Claypool (Primus, Col. Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade).

Massive Dark Side Of The Moon collection for sale Print E-mail

We were contacted this week by our friend Charles, who runs the excellent Pink Floyd collector's outlet, Floydstuff.com. Having collected Pink Floyd for several years, he decided to narrow my collection to just one album... Dark Side Of The Moon. His search for different pressings of this album resulted in a collection of 140 different items. Obviously in need of some space, and to allow him to concentrate on gathering material for his upcoming book on Pink Floyd's concerts in The Netherlands, he has decided to put the lot up for sale.

Nick Mason at Goodwood Festival of Speed Print E-mail

Last weekend (June 25th-27th 2004) saw Pink Floyd's Nick Mason making his annual pilgrimage to the wonderful Goodwood Festival Of Speed, which is held on Lord March's front lawn in Sussex. The event involves the finest vehicles from all over the world coming together with the finest drivers, who drive up a hill trying to miss hay bales and stone walls, whilst trying to beat the time set by others.
