We reported last week on Nick Mason's brief tour of Italy, to promote his great new book "La prima autobiografia dei Pink Floyd" (the Italian language version of "Inside Out - A Personal History Of Pink Floyd").

As part of this, on April 27th, Nick took part in a live videochat from Milan. The interview, at 3pm (Italian time) was webcast on www.rcslibri.it and it is now available to watch on demand, in Real Media format.

Roger Waters Ca Ira update Print E-mail

As we have previously reported (back in January) Roger Waters has completed his long-awaited opera, Ca Ira, and delivered the tapes to Sony Classical for release later this year. He has been talking to Rolling Stone about the album, and a possible performance in Rome this November.

Storm Thorgerson designed Dark Side book - update Print E-mail

Last month, we reported on a story in the Swedish Daily News, which remarked that Storm Thorgerson, who designed most of Pink Floyd's legendary album covers, was currently hard at work on two new books to be released soon.

We chatted with Storm about these, and we now have the cover art of one of these books - John Harris's "The Making Of The Pink Floyd Masterpiece, The Dark Side of The Moon". The Swedish report noted that "right now Storm and his assistant Dan Abbott are sitting twisting and turning triangles - again. The triangular theme from the album sleeve has to be varied in absurdum. Dan explains that he see triangles every time he close his eyes, and have been doing so for several years now; since the greatest hits period a couple of years back when the Pink Floyd aesthetic saw a brief renaissance".

Tribute to Pink Floyd's The Wall coming soon Print E-mail

A lot of interest is growing over a forthcoming album playing tribute to Pink Floyd's The Wall. As the creation of the album is still in its early stages, we don't have all of the detail, but we have an update for you today - which is especially good news for Jethro Tull fans!
